Regret.
What a terrible thing. Everyone has regrets in their lives, definitely. What i want to know is the after-effect. How will you react after regretting? Okay, definitely have two main reactions: 1) Wallow in despair, forever thinking how stupid, foolish, wrong you were. Keep thinking about what you could have done instead, then moving on to thinking what could have happened instead. Throw yourself into the black hole, and wall yourself up, blaming yourself, kill yourself in your memory and soul. WRONG. Wastage of time and energy. 2) Cry over it for a while. Wall yourself for a period of time, thinking about your mistakes. Think of how to prevent that from happening again. (Note, not thinking about how to change the past.) Make the appropriate amendments. Okay, may not be perfect, but still! So much better right? Firstly, you cant change the past no matter how hard you try. So why bother even thinking about those changes that you cant make? Secondly, even if you throw yourself to the black hole and blaming yourself, its of no use, cause.. it just wont help matters! I'll rather you breakdown fully once, then pick yourself up and move on to help the situation. Thirdly, I think the most important thing is to let it go. Let go of your regrets, admit your mistakes, and forget it. Moving on. Many people will have different thoughts about this. Most commonly said "Saying it is easy, but doing it is difficult." & "Its easy for you, but not for me." But, aint i just a human just like you? If i can do it, why cant you? Cause im strong? So make yourself strong. I'll choose the 2nd option anyday. People may think im heartless, but i really do feel its better. If you think im heartless to do that, then.......... You dont understand me. So do you? (: (I can so predict the reactions to this post.) Just to clarify, this post was purely on-the-spot. Not intended for anyone in particular. Peace out! |
